MATH
ACTIVITIES
This collection of 15 math activities provides teacher
versions with answers and notes. Student versions are
edited and answers omitted. Teachers can download the
activities and begin each activity with a minimum of
work (I hope!), only needing to gather the necessary
equipment.
These 15 activities are some of my favorite. You best
determine grade levels and subject appropriateness.
With modifications, many of the activities can be used
K – 12.
Nancy Mathras, the author, has been teaching mathematics
since 1969. She has taught grades 7-12 and likes to
vary her teaching assignments.
With a BS in mathematics, a M.Ed. with math concentration,
plus 30 hours of advanced coursework, she continues
to learn mathematics. Serving as Mathletes advisor
and as a professional development presenter and working
with her school's committees helps her pinpoint topics
in math that need to be better explored. She welcomes
